Camille was an interpreter at Memorial Parkway Elementary in Katy, TX where I also teach. She was always a bright and shining personality and well-loved by all those who knew her. I remember a particularly frustrating event that she helped me with. I was trying to refold packing boxes and was becoming overwhelmed with the task b/c it was a complicated process to get them refolded just right. Camille stopped by my room, took the boxes to the side, and asked me to let her handle it since she loved puzzles. In a minute, all boxes were flat and ready to be packed away. Camille smiled her brilliant smile and moved on down the hallway. She could do anything to make things better for others!! Camille has brightened Heaven already with her presence.

Camille, heaven has been blessed a little bit more by your smile and wonderful spirit. You will be missed. To the family; live as Camille did with a kind word and love for all, following the example of our Lord Jesus Christ and we will clebrate together in Heaven some day soon. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I would like to give my deepest sympathy and condolences to Camille Rivera's family for their loss. Camille was a dear friend of mine which I have recently got in contact with her on FB a few months ago. I've known Camille since 1982 in elementary school. Camille's heart was always pure, caring, and sweet. She will always be missed by all, and now she has a greater task in GOD's Kingdom... God Bless You All!

Though many years have passed since we worked together, the memories spent co-teaching with you will always be special. The "New York" connection was immediate and then knowing your heart, soul, and mind made an impression that is still vivid today. Although our paths did not cross often, when I saw you three years ago and found out you were ill, the same feisty spirit was still shining in your eyes. My thoughts go out to Taylor and the others in your loving family in hoping that your memory will be there to give them strength.

I understand that Camille was the kind of individual that touched the lives of those that knew her. It takes someone special to have that ability, and I'm sorry that I never got a chance to meet her or better yet, to know her. My condolences and greatest sympathies go out to her family (both direct and extended). May her legacy live on in all those whose lives she's blessed.

It's so hard to believe that you are really gone!!! It was hard seeing you suffer in your final days, I know you are at peace now and with our parents and the daughter that you had only a short time with. I might not have been the best sister in the world, but I loved you with all my heart!!! I'm grateful that I was with you when you needed me the most. I'll always treasure the many memories and fun times we had, our power walks, bbq's, dancing, you throwing me over your shoulders like I was a ragdoll and planning to do it all "once a month". I am happy you followed me out here, and gave my kids and grandkids the opportunity for the very special bond that they had with no one else as you did with everyone's children!!! You will be missed be everyone, but your spirit lives in the lives of all you have touched! I love you my one and only sister!!! XoXo Cindy XoXo
