Carl Eades Obituary

Carl W. Eades passed away on January 9th, 2008. Born on June 6th, 1928 in Tarrant City, Alabama, to Addie Mae and William James Eades, he was one of seven boys who dedicated their life and service to our country. Having been stationed in Korea, Germany, Vietnam, Japan and the Continental United States during his military career, which lasted 26 years, he incurred injuries in Korea, which purported him to get the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medals. When Carl worked as a laboratory technician in a local hospital and diligently volunteered at Peterson Field pharmacy, he was in his element. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Renate, their three children: Christian A., Patrick H. and Victoria E., as well as 4 grandchildren. From a former marriage he leaves three children: Carl W. Jr, Arthur and Gloria M., 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Ruth and Helen with families in Alabama, and one brother, Henry and sister-in-law Katherine in Florida are also survivors. Carl was a charming, loving and hard-working man who had always given his best to the Military and his family. He was much loved and will be sorely missed. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, BLUE EYES!!!

Hi Grandpa,
It's me, Preston. I just want you to know that I miss seeing you. I miss having lunch with you, and our little talks we used to have. You were a really good grandpa, and I was lucky to have you in my life. Thanks for everything. Love, Preston

I miss you grandpa. You always used to help me stuff, when I couldn't do it. I miss seeing you on the weekends, but I know one day I'll see you again. I love you, and think about you often, more than often. Your grandson, Pierce

What can I say about my sweet daddy? I sure will miss those little sayings he always had like "Off to the races", or "Who's buried in Grants Tomb"?, or "You made your bed, now you're going to lie in it", or "Your mom and I are going to see a man about a horse", at first I thought, wow, I am going to get a pony.....wrong. And how about my favorite, "When my rich uncle gets out of the poor house". I think about you often dad, and the boys say "HI". I love you, Vicky

My memory of Carl goes back to his brother's house on the lake. He was playing records and enjoying the music and being with his family. He was so full of joy. God bless his family at this sad time.
