Carl Lee
Whittemore
April 18, 2023

Carl L. Whittemore, 83, a longtime resident of Widefield, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on April 18, 2023. Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he graduated from Earlville High School in 1957 and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. Carl met and married his beloved wife, Giselle, while serving in Toul, France. He served for over twenty years. He enjoyed a career as a donut baker and store manager at several local donut shops. He also worked at Cheyenne Mountain Conference Resort as a night auditor until he retired in 2005. He enjoyed working in his yard, bread baking, grilling, fishing, watching all sports on TV, playing cards with friends and beautiful drives up to Cripple Creek to try his luck. Carl will be laid to rest at a later date at Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Online condolences can be shared at www.shrineofremembrance.com/colorado-springs-obituaries/

We always think of Carl as we always think of the people who have left us and whom we loved.
We also think of the people we miss, of you, our American family.
Armelle and Vincent.
(Nous pensons toujours à Carl comme nous pensons toujours aux personnes qui nous ont quittées et que nous aimions.
Nous pensons aussi aux personnes qui nous manquent, à vous, notre famille d'Amérique.
Armelle et Vincent.)
