I still miss Carla.

I was fortunate to spend some close time with her and get to know her in 2007/2008, and then she decided to move back to Colorado, but we stayed in touch as friends. A very good woman, a good person with a good heart, she cared about people and was interested in them, wanted to share with them and uplift them. And a great sense of humor.

Carla Mae will always have a little place in my heart. She was my first 'love' in junior high school, and a friend for so many years after. Still miss her. Brent

Can´t believe it´s been 10 years since Carla left us. I still think of, and miss, her. So many memories of 8th Grade `puppy love´, which was nonetheless quite real. And many years of friendship thereafter. Carla´s happy, impish smile and love of life. Easy to laugh with, but deep at the same time. We all miss you, Sweet Carla.

Although we were not related by blood, Carla was my sister. All the years I have known her since we met in the Air Force, she had such a wonderful spirit. Her look on life lifted me up so many times. The pictures I have of us will always be near me. Her love for my children have touched them dearly and they always looked at her as Aunt Carla. I will miss my dear friend and my heart goes out to her family. God Bless you my angel. I love you.

I am so shocked I had written to her only a week ago. My condolences to her family and all her friends she was a sparkling spirit with a heart as big as the mountains she moved to, her sincerity was there for everyone that needed it . In many ways she was so full of life and she left many blessed with her love and caring so wonderful.

I only knew Carla a short time, but she touched my heart so profoundly. It's heart warming to see how she touched so many people. I feel honored to have known you Carla and hope that you are at peace. Lots of love, Ruth (King)

We have lost a dear old friend. Carla was so very full of life, fun, mischief and genuine joie de vivre - I never recall her being down or negative. She was my first "love" while we dated way back in 8th Grade, but then a great friend and inspiration for the next 35+ years. Knowing she is no longer among us leaves one feeling that a light has gone out, though we know it now shines elsewhere.

To Carla's many friends and loved ones,
I was also a classmate of Carla's at Centennial and graduated with her. We didn't know we were both in the Air Force until we met at a class reunion. She will be missed and remembered fondly. May you be comforted by your memories and each other.

We worked briefly together at Fort Carson. She would wave me on as I walked to the gym and say "Good for you!" She was always cheering people on. She will be missed.

I am sad to hear this over the newspaper, i was a friend of Carla and the times i spend with her...very little time...she was really sweet upbeat and very softspoken. Talking to her always gave me a sense of security and peace. I didnt understand why she would not answer my emails and we never got together as we had planned back in january. I know the world has lost a very sweet, genuine kind human being, that could always made you laugh in the saddest moments of your life. I sure know that she touched many lives and were good memories. God has once again knows how to pick his angels and He sure has one of the best. RIP CARLA, little wolf will always remember our good times, especially biking.

I went to high school with Carla. We performed together in concert band and jazz band. I haven't seen Carla in ten years. We saw each other at a class reunion. She practically ran across the room to greet me with such a wonderful hug. It was like we had seen each other the previous week, not five years before.
My prayers are with her family as they say goodbye to Carla.

Godspeed my friend.

June, I will remember Carla as the vivacious, fun loving person she was. Our short time working together, caring for the Soldiers at Fort Carson and sharing life experiences is a highlight of those years. My condolences to you and your family. Mary Lynn Marsh

My deepest condolences to June, Matt, Bruce, Mike, Terry and Jack. I'll always remember Carla and treasure our very close friendship, times, talks and laughter. While working as a psychotherapist at Fort Carson, she helped so many of our brave troop members cope with the effects of traumatic brain injury. She loved people and loved to share with them. I'll always greatly value who she was and is, and how she blessed others lives.

Dear Matt and June,
You are in our thoughts and prayers as we remember the occasions we spent with you when Carla was there. They are nice memories.
Much love,
