Carlo J. Montera, 97 born April 13, 1924 in Pueblo, CO passed away Sept 24, 2021 at his home in Colorado Springs. Survived by his 3 children, Carl (Evelyn) Montera, Joan Maldonado, Judy (Paul) Danielson; grandchildren, Kristin, Kevin, Amanda, Eric, Lauren and Paige. Carlo was a member of Sons of Italy Pueblo lodge #2738 and a founding member of Sons of Italy Colorado Springs Pikes Peak Lodge #2870. Carlo graduated from the University of Colorado as an Electrical Engineer. He was in the US Navy, worked with NASA/Northrop for 23 years as Crew & Systems Manager at NASA. In retirement he loved volunteering at the National Space Foundation and the Farmers Market in Colorado Springs. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00am, Thurs Sept 30, 2021 at St Joseph Catholic Church, 1145 S Aspen Rd. Pueblo, CO, 81006.

So very sorry for your loss. Carl was a nice and caring person. I met him at the Space Foundation where he was a volunteer for many years. I truly enjoyed working & talking to him. He will be greatly missed. Carl has earned his wings.
