Carol and I were dear friends since age 14. We went to high school and nursing school together and shared many nursing professional experiences. She was the Maid of Honor at my wedding and always kept in close contact. Unfortunately I was out of the country when she died and unable to attend the funeral and be with the family. Fortunately I did speak with her 2 days before I left and was able to say goodbye. She will always remain in my thought and prayers.

Carol was one of those rare friends with whom I could totally be myself. We traveled to many AORN conventions together. Most of the time was spent giggling and laughing like young school girls. We shared a love of books and of knitting. I will miss her quick wit and keen intellect. She was a mentor to me for how to practice nursing with heart and intelligence. My thoughts and prayers go out to Terry, Kerry and Caron. May God hold you in the palm of his hands during the difficult days ahead.

Carol and I were in grade school and high school together. What a warm, funny, bright, creative person she was. There are so many special memories. I am very sad and my thoughts are with the family.

Dear Kerry, Terry and family: Carol and I were supposed to sit in our rocking chairs on our front porch in our 'senior' years, read through her journals and reflect on our fun and foolish youthful years. How sad that 'we' won't get to do that. Carol was a dear, dear friend for so many years that her absence will be felt. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to you.

I was saddened to see that Carol had passed. I worked with her at a local home care agency here in Colorado Springs. She was a wonderful person. That smile was always present. God Bless you. You are in my thoughts and prayers
