Carol will be greatly missed by thousands. She never met a stranger. Everyone was made to feel welcome. When my daughter was showing horses, I met Carol and Don. Later, went on to help Carol and eventually worked several shows over the years for them. She and Don always answered my questions even though some of them were pretty stupid (I'm sure). When I had my granddaughter 2 yrs ago, we stopped to see them on our trip to Bent's Old Fort. Am really glad I did--it was so good to see them both. Carol can run those big horse shows in the sky now. RIP. Love.

Words cannot describe how important Carol Moore was to me! I am devastated by her passing. I first met Don & Carol in 1988 when my Dad (the late Dr. Tom Bartley) moved back to his hometown of Pueblo, CO. From the moment I first met Carol she took me under her wing and made me feel welcomed and included. That is just what Carol & Don did. I was new to that part of the country and Carol made a point of introducing me to everyone. Soon, because of Carol, I felt comfortable in my new environment. As a matter of fact it may be the only time in my life I have felt like I really belonged & fit in! Carol was always there to encourage and advise me. As time progressed I ended up working the Super Circuit for Carol. The education I gained from, not just working, but watching Carol at work, were skills I could not have gained from anyone else. As life took me further and further away from Pueblo, Carol continued to help and advise me anyway she could! Not a day goes by that I do not think about Carol and all the people who befriended me in CO. I have lived and shown horses all over this country and I can confidently say that Carol was one of a kind. Carol was a very special, brilliant, loving person who will be sorely missed! I agree, & will make a donation, she should be honored at the AQHA Hall! Carol was most definitely an important icon in our industry. And not just an icon for revolutionizing the way shows are run, but for the kind of person she was and her ability to make everyone (big & small) feel included, loved, and wanted! The horse industry and the world is a little lonelier with out Carol Moore in it. As for myself and everyone else I think we could honor Carol & help Don by carrying on her legacy of inclusion, understanding and love! Because of the distance I sadly cannot attend the memorial. However my heart will be there with Don and all of my much missed Colorado family!
