Carolyn (Rogers) Morrison, a devoted mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on March 13, 1936, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Judson and Mamie Rogers. Carolyn's life was defined by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering love for her family.
While attending the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Carolyn met the love of her life, Marvin Morrison. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and the joy of raising their two children. She was also a proud member of Delta Gamma Sorority, where she formed lifelong friendships.
Carolyn worked for many years as a secretary at First Presbyterian Church, where she formed lasting connections within the community.
She was preceded in death by Marvin but is survived by her children, Blake Morrison (John Michael May) and Christen Tuxworth (Jeff Tuxworth), who were the heart of her world. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Donna Komma; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Keller (Morrison); her brother-in-law, James Keller; her adoptive granddaughter, Caroline Selting; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
A celebration of her life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 219 East Bijou Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80903, on April 11 at 11:30 AM.
