Carolyn Sue Roth
March 14, 1935- September 23, 2022
Carolyn lived all 87 years in Iowa and Colorado. And how she did live!
God blessed her with great loyal, caring, enduring supportive lifelong true friends. She was always so grateful for her friends.
Her favorite songs sum up her essence, purpose and priorities; God and her journey with family and friends in this awesome country.
How Great Thou Art, Sentimental Journey and the Battle Hymn of the Republic.
Carolyn Influenced over a 100 young kids during her day care tutoring adventures.
She was very well read, could converse on any topic, loved dachshunds and cats, playing games especially Password, walking, and most of all family interaction. She would do anything for her three kids and their families. Carolyn is survived by her children; Chip (Lisa), Porty (Carleen) and Sally (Bob). Carolyn was blessed with six grandchildren (Elise and Sophie (Frank); JT and Jake; Garrett and Luis) as well as three great grandchildren (Caleb Thomas, Franklin Hugh and Carolyn Maxine).
At the end she was clear thinking about her health and all of her injuries. She was strong and decisive about the best and most loving way to face her final hours, talking with peace and grace to all of her children and grandchildren. What courage! What strength! What a beautiful way to manage the final moments of her departure from this world. She was thoughtful and compassionate with all of her descendants. She will be remembered for her determination, tenacity, soft grit and love in the most difficult moments of her life by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a strong, caring, kind and gentle person full of patriotism and enthusiasm for life. We will honor her by living a life with a smile, optimism, hope, a helpful hand, faith, loving our families and persevering through all challenges like she did and giving all glory to God.
She is in no pain and at peace with her savior and with her loving husband of 65 years.
She was truly a gem and heaven is a brighter place now that she is there reunited with our dad, grandpa and great grandpa.
Carolyn requested that there be no service or memorial. We will lovingly scatter her ashes on Pikes Peak.
We thank her for an awesome life example. Well done good and faithful servant.
