Carolyn taught me so much--making coffee for church hospitality was the least of it. She was the epitome of a "Saint at Home".

With love and appreciation...

Carolyn and I met at Saint Barnavus Church in the summer of 1980. My husband Lyle and I were blind. She helped us with shopping and daily routine. Carolyn was proud of all the guide dogs I received, she loved learning about the different guide dog schools and watched the teamwork grow. We laughed allot together! She was there, through sorrowful moments. I loved learning about her surroundings, her sharing of her children and grandchildren. The church activities was so important to her! We participated together in some of these church activities. She will be truly missed! She was the mother I never had! Carolyn was pleased to talk with Jim over the phone before we got married. She asked Jim if he would take good care of Dar! Each time we spoke on the phone, after I moved to Montana, she always said "tell that husband of yours hi for me. Carolyn was really happy about our marriage.
Thank you Judy and Lisa for sharing your mother and grandmother with me!
