Carolyn Tighe Obituary

Sr. Carolyn Mary Tighe, S.L. died July 25th in Colorado Springs. She was in the 93rd year of her life. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, the 4th of 8 children born to Alice and Eugene Tighe. Sister entered the Sisters of Loretto and spent 76 years teaching and doing parish ministry in St. Louis, MO, Bisbee, AR, Los Angeles, CA, El Paso, TX and Colorado Springs, CO. She is survived by her sister, Sr. Alice Eugene of Loretto, KY, also a brother, Charles Tighe of Whittier, CA, Sr. Kathleen Tighe of Danville, CA and Helen Tighe of Monrovia, CA and many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her dear friend, Rita Vigil whom she lived with and worked with many years. A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5 at Divine Redeemer Parish, 927 North Logan Avenue.
