Dear Grandma (Nan) and Grandpa (Pop),
I miss you more than words can say. Some days, I still reach for your voices in my mind, remembering how safe and loved I felt when you were here. You gave me a kind of love that was soft and steady, a love that never wavered, even when life got hard.
I wish you could see me now. I'm working so hard-on school, on building a future for myself and for my kids. I'm tired sometimes, but I keep going, just like you taught me. When things feel overwhelming or uncertain, I think of how you would have comforted me-with your hugs, your warm words, and that belief you always had in me. I carry that with me still.
I know I´ve made mistakes-I´ve stumbled and gotten lost-but I never stopped trying to do better, to be better. I want you to be proud of me. I want you to see the woman I´ve become. And even though you're not here in the way I wish you were, I know your love still surrounds me. It lives in my memories, in the way I love my own children, and in the fire I carry to keep pushing forward.
Thank you for everything you gave me. I hope I can build something beautiful in this life-something that honors you both.
With all my love,
Brenda

My great-grandfather (Pop) was my best friend as a little kid. Every day, I would wake up excited to see him and tell him all about what I wanted to do. I got to play video games with him, and almost every morning, I would follow along with his routine of shaving-or "pretend" shaving, in my case. I also lifted my little weights with him, walked on the treadmill beside him, helped pick up leaves, and was pushed on the swing set in the backyard. I genuinely appreciated the limited time I had with him, and I will never forget it. I love you, Pop!

I worked with Carroll from 1982 until he retired and always enjoyed his pleasant personality and sense of humor. He was a very respected manager at the Postal Service. My sympathies go out to Carroll's family.
