Carroll Glenn Stom was born on April 7, 1932 in Paradise, Kentucky to Carroll Henry Stom and Jessie Evelyn (Knight) Stom.
Glenn enlisted in the Army in 1947, and had a long and storied career. His military service included postings to Japan as well as combat during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer (CW3) in 1970.
As a civilian, Glenn was a licensed real estate Broker and owned several successful offices in Colorado. Later, he became certified as a water treatment consultant, owning his own company with customers throughout the state. His clients were more than just customers to him - they were friends. He also held a (private) airplane pilot's license and was an avid motorcycle rider. He loved cruising through the Colorado mountains, and flying across the country to visit friends and family.
Glenn is survived by: his wife of 46 years, (Marie) Elena Stom; children Lisa Lawson, Deana Stom, and Steven (Jobie) Stom; grandchildren Virginia Fike, Laurie (Simon) Walker, Charles Fike, Maxwell Stom, and Enzo Stom; and, great-grandchildren Bella Fike and Adele Walker.
We want to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff of Colorado Palliative and Hospice Care for their invaluable assistance and guidance, which helped us keep Glenn at home during his final days. Honoring Glenn's wishes, there will be no viewing or memorial service.
