Carter Ayotte Obituary

AYOTTE

CARTER JOSEPH

AYOTTE

January 27, 1998

September 3, 2021

Born in Colorado Springs, CO. Carter is survived by his parents Laura and Ben, brothers Griffin and Hayden, grandfather Vincent DiNapoli (Kaye), uncles James (Tammy) Ayotte, Vincent (Linda) DiNapoli, Joshua (Corrina) DiNapoli, aunts Tracy Ayotte and Susan DiNapoli, and many great aunts and uncles, cousins, and his neighborhood family. Carter is preceded in death by his grandparents, Susan (Farrell) DiNapoli and James and Judy (Heather) Ayotte.

He will be remembered for his kind heart and sense of humor, always looking to crack a joke, inciting shenanigans, and making others laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers, fishing, watching movies, and playing video games.

Carter had a strong work ethic and had his first job at the age of 14 at Peak Grill. He worked throughout high school at Salsa Brava Rockrimmon, Foothills Swim and Racquet Club, and after graduation at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs and Hertz rental car. After Covid-19 left him unemployed, he moved to Pocatello, Idaho to work in the Lamb Weston potato manufacturing facility.

Carter was a competitive swimmer with Manitou, CSST, Rockrimmon, and Air Academy swim teams. Carter was a Foothills, School in the Woods, Eagleview, and Air Academy alumnus.

Earlier this summer Carter survived a life threatening car accident in Pocatello, Idaho and recuperated in his family home in Rockrimmon. Throughout the summer the family enjoyed time together and were able to strengthen relationships. Carter returned to his home in Pocatello on August 24th and his mental health struggles proved too hard to overcome. Carter was 23 years old.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the Carter Ayotte Memorial Swim Scholarship with Colorado Springs Area Swimming (COSA) Swim Team.
