Catalina Chacon Obituary
After living in Alamosa for several years, Dora and Eliud moved the family to Widefield, CO where they settled for the next 48 years. Dora's career as a surgical instrument technician for St. Francis Hospital spanned 33 years. She was a devout Catholic and was very active in the church. Dora insured that all five of her kids received college degrees.
Dora is survived by her husband, five children: Gary, Dean, Gaylyn, Greg and Brad; five grandchildren: Chris, Cody, Jamie, Taylor and Alexa; and one great grandchild Madelyn.
Dora will be remembered for her great sacrifices for family and her enduring quip, "As the world turns."
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Security. There will be a Rosary Service at 10:00 am.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 S. Highway 85/87, Security, CO 80911 (719) 392-7653.

Dear Family of Dora Chacon,
I knew your mother, and wife from our days at Holy Family Parish. She and her husband are friends of my family, the Romero's in Alamosa, Colorado. I will always remember the Godliness of Dora to be an inspiration to me. To say she was a devout Catholic woman is to underscore her love for the Lord and how she lived her love out in her life. Her beauty as she walked into Holy Family each Sunday I will hold dear in my heart. My deep condolences to Dora's family in the loss of such a grand lady. May her example shine on through you/us all who knew her.
