Catherine Auck Obituary

Catherine Alberta Auck, 82, of Davenport, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at her home. Per her wishes, there will be no public services held. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements. Mrs. Auck was born July 29, 1923 in Davenport, Iowa to George and Hazel (Cline) Pennington. She was raised from infancy by her maternal grandparents, Albert and Anna Catherine Cline. Catherine married Harry K. Smith and had two sons, Dennis Wayne and Charles Edward. In 1978, she married Royal Clayton Auck in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is survived by one son and two stepchildren, Dr. Roxanne (Dr. Jefferson) Vaughan of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Charles (Wendy) Auck of Colorado Springs; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
