Catherine Bargers Obituary

Mrs. Catherine Vivian Bargers, 75, of Colorado Springs, was born on September 27, 1941 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She passed away February 2, 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

 

Catherine was one of eleven children born to Vincent and Fern Jirik of Kingfisher, Oklahoma.

Catherine enjoyed Elvis, Country and Western music, and long strolls on warm summer evenings. She was an avid game show watcher in later years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence William Bargers, who passed in 2002. They were married for twenty-eight years.

She is survived by her children, Patricia (Travis) and Larry (Tricia); her grandchildren, Serina, Justin, Bryanna, Joslyn, Kieran and Christian; and her siblings, Charles, Sue, Mary Anne, Rose Margaret, Evelyn, Johnny, Janice, and Patricia.

Catherine was a kind and gentle person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her generosity and loyalty were second to none. She passed away after a valiant struggle with Parkinson's.

Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
