Catherine Louise Mabile, 81, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 after a years-long struggle with vascular dementia and heart disease. Catherine was born on February 16, 1943, to Harold M. Mabile and Edna M. (Boyette) Mabile in Rock Springs, WY. Catherine grew up in Green River, WY and following her high school graduation in Green River, she went on to study at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. Catherine married, Thomas A. Gustin in 1962 and they went on to have two children, Toni Louise Bircher (Russ) and Thomas A.Gustin II (Brandi). In addition to her children, Toni and Tom, Catherine is survived by five grandchildren, Crystal Allen (David), Morgan Ferguson (Chad), Beau Kelly (Lauren), Shelby Johnson (Sam), Sierra Kelly and five great-grandchildren, Blake and Carson Kelly, Quinn Ferguson, Truett and Lainey Johnson. Catherine is also survived by a niece and two nephews and their children.
A small Memorial Service will be held at Brookdale Briargate, 7560 Lexington Drive in Colorado Springs on the day of Catherine's 82 birthday, Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Colorado Springs Philharmonic, an independent symphony orchestra and an organization that Catherine enjoyed supporting.

I was blessed to have had one of the greatest Aunts that I could´ve ever have asked for. I´ll never forget the wonderful times we shared. She spent six weeks as my model in Beauty School and what a time we had. She is the only person in my life that would make such a sacrifice . I will miss her for the rest of my life. Thank you for being my Auntie! Godspeed and Eternal Rest! RIP Auntie. I love you.
