We were saddened to hear of your loss. We remember fondly him coming through on his motorcycle and attending our Lightfoot family reunion on his way back to Colorado. Even with the distance, we were happy to see him at several of the annual reunions. Our thoughts are with you.

So sorry to hear of Van's passing. I worked for IBM as the security manager when Van came to Colorado Springs. Such a classy man and loved by all. We had many conversations in my office about life and family. He was such a great support to me when I was going through a terrible marriage and divorce - I will remember his support and kindness always. I send my condolences to Cheryl and family.

I had the pleasure of working with Van here in Colorado Springs. When I was getting ready to buy my first bike with a plan to ride to Phoenix, I'll never forget his offer to ride with me whenever I was ready. I didn't get to make the ride, but I knew if I wanted to I could count on his guidance to get me there.
