To the family of Mr. Charles L. Graves:
You have my prayers for your continued strength in the passing of your loved one. Mr. Graves encouraged my sons and I during hard times at John Muir High. He always said they would be fine and they are.
He always had a kind word and I never heard him say anything negative about anything or anyone.
May the memory of Mr. Graves leave a lasting impression on my (4)children as well as all of the students he loved and taught.

Mr. Graves fought a good fight and finished the race God put before him. A job well done!
May peace and comfort be with the Graves family.

R.I.P. Charles !!!! Mr. Graves, it's sad to see you go, but I know you're going to a much better place. Blessings and prayers to you & your family. I will always have fond memories from my childhood of being a little kid, looking up to the example you set for us neighborhood kids. I hadn't seen you for ages and there you were at Eliot when my kids were there. I immediately told them "be on your best behavior because whatever you do good or bad.... I'll hear about it. That guy Mr. Graves is a good guy from the neighborhood & we'll be talking". Thanks for being a good role model for all our youth. Thanks for being a staunch supporter of the Muir Drum Section and your community at large. Now I know God takes the good people young. We'll miss you. Duke J.M.A.D.A.

Family,
What a testimony you must have to give about Charles! I've known him since I was 7 years old, (grew up around the corner) and my son was blessed to have been in his company at Elliot and John Muir High. I know that he will be missed, but may you take comfort in knowing all the (young) lives he's touched and has perhaps made that certain needed contribution that will carry them to greatness in their lives.
God Bless You All,
Pam & Keenan
