Charles "Chuck" Allen Murray passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, in Evergreen, Colorado, at the age of 72, due to complications from Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy. Born on December 8, 1952, in Yakima, Washington, Chuck's life was a testament to resilience, intelligence, and an enduring spirit of adventure.
Chuck's early life was challenging, with limited resources, a rough home environment, and was on his own before he could legally drive. Even so, he found a path forward—joining the Army, where he specialized in missile firing and guidance systems. Then getting an Electrical Engineering degree and working in the nuclear power industry. There, he designed and installed radiation detection equipment across the U.S. and in the Philippines.
Later, Chuck brought his sharp analytical mind to the field of finance, establishing Certified Financial Planning offices in Flagstaff and Phoenix, where he continued to help others build secure futures.
Chuck had a deep love for the outdoors and embraced every opportunity to hike, bike, camp, or travel—especially alongside his beloved wife, Chalyce. Whether exploring the trails or simply soaking in the beauty of nature, Chuck shared these moments with family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.
Those who knew Chuck will remember him as a loving husband to his wife, Chalyce, and a devoted father to his son, Alan. His family was the center of his universe, and he took great joy in the lives of his granddaughters, Isabella and Aurora. Chuck's legacy of love also extended to Alan's wife, Lemor; Alan's mother, Roxanne Carpenter; as well as Chuck's sister, Evelyn Tovar; and his many nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Not to be forgotten is his loyal dog, Bristol, who was a constant companion on his many adventures.
Though his time here was cut short, Chuck lived a rich and meaningful life, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the joy of knowing him.
