Charles R. "Chuck" Sekera, 87, passed away on March 7, 2024. He is survived by his children, Leslie (Rex) Jakeman, Greg (Anne) Sekera, and Chris (Tia) Sekera; and grandchildren, Aimee (David) James, Capt. Benjamin (Capt. Michelle Lee) Jakeman, Kayleigh (Austin) Sand, Owen Sekera, Joe Sekera, John (Michelle) Jakeman and Cathrina Jakeman. Viewing, at 10:30 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2024, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. Online condolences at www.MontgomerySteward.com

I was a friend of Chuck and Rosemary when I taught art at Pitts Junior High over 50 years ago. Over that space of time, I have always been appreciative of their graciousness and joy they always expressed toward me.

Charles was a neighbor of ours at Stone Creek retirement facility. He was very friendly and liked by all. At meals he would often go around the dining hall and speak to many. We enjoyed his sense of humor. He will be missed!

Chuck and Rosemary were dear friends to my parents George and Seal Williams and neighbors at Liberty Point. A true gentleman and good man May he rest in peace with his beloved wife. God bless him. RW
