Cheryl McBride Obituary

Cheryl Ann McBride, 56, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016. She was born on April 17, 1959 in Muncie, Indiana to Carl and Margaret Parks.

Cheryl grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from Riverdale High School in 1977. She was on the Dean's List and graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Philips College in New Orleans, Louisiana.

In the late 1990's Cheryl moved to Boulder, Colorado to pursue her career in computer science. Cheryl's most recent job was at Safeway in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she held the positions of Customer Service and Floral Manager.

On March 23, 2010, Cheryl married her husband William R. McBride Jr. in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Cheryl loved animals and had two dogs, Peaches and Snug-bee. She also loved all varieties of flowers, Mardi Gras, and the New Orleans Saints. She was a proud fan of "Who Dat" Nation and said she breathed black and gold.

Cheryl loved the Lord and her faith in our Savior was very strong.

Family was so important to Cheryl. She truly cherished her parents and helped care for them in the final years of her life. She adored her son, Fred and was so devoted to him.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, William R. McBride Jr.; parents, Carl and Margaret Parks; son, Fred Williford; and sister, Connie Lust.

She is also survived by her niece, Hannah; nephew, Taylor; many aunts and uncles; and several grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
