Chin Steinhauer Obituary

August 1, 1933-December 23, 2007. Chin (Kim) C. Steinhauer, 74, passed away on December 23, 2007 after complications from heart surgery. She worked as a Nurses Aide, Assembly Worker, Teachers Aide for disabled children and was self-employed in the Real Estate field prior to retiring in 1998. Kim was born on August 1, 1933 in Taipei, Taiwan and married David R. Steinhauer on December 26, 1970 also in Taipei. Together they had three successful children: Mimi, Kimberly and Jon. Kim was a very straightforward and giving woman who thought of others before herself. She enjoyed helping children and the elderly, the disabled and handicapped, and playing Bingo at T.R.E.A., where she was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Kim is survived by her husband David; daughters: Mimi Y. husband Michael) McConnell and Kimberly A. (husband David) Knoche; son: D. Jon (wife Colleen) Steinhauer; nine grandchildren: Alex, Darwin, Leanne, Jane, Julie, Rachel, Brandon, Rebecca and Lauren, seven brothers and sisters and numerous extended family members and friends. Kim was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007 with viewing one hour prior at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2505 North Circle Drive in Colorado Springs. Burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
