Chris Barnett Obituary

Chris Bradley Barnett passed away December 10, 2006, in Colorado Springs. Chris was born on May 13, 1946, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Wynona and Dale Barnett. His daughter Ann Marie Barnett, his mother, his sister, Susan Williams, his nephews Jeff and Jason Williams, his niece Jennifer Williams and his former wife, Judy Barnett survive him. Chris graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1968 and served in the Special Forces during the Vietnam War. He moved to Denver in 1972 where he began his career in commercial real estate. He moved to Colorado Springs in 1984 to develop Mission Trace Shopping Center and continued his career as a broker for Sullivan Hayes until his retirement in 2003. Chris loved to play golf and go fly-fishing. He also was a history buff and volunteered at the McAllister House. He was a loving father and will be very much missed by his friends and family. A memorial service will be on Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at the Hilton Antlers, 4 South Cascade, Colorado Springs, Colorado, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to the McAllister House, 423 North Cascade, Colorado Springs, CO 80903, or the charity of your choice.

I worked with Chris for a short time at First Federal S&L and remember him as a friendly good humored man. My prayers go to his family and loved ones.
