Christian Kirschman Obituary

Christian "Chris" Joseph Kirschman, age 86, triumphantly passed from death to life-eternal with our Lord Jesus Christ on January 27, 2017. Chris was born on July 26, 1930, and on January 6, 1951 he married his beloved wife, Shirley. Chris worked at MetLife in Red Bank, N.J. for over 35 years while maintaining the family farm in Matawan, N.J. In 1996 he and Shirley moved to Colorado Springs, CO where he became an active of Front Range Alliance Church.

Chris will be remembered for his faith, humor, out-going personality, generosity and warmth. He will also be remembered for church picnics at the farm, canasta card games, German dances, the Lone Ranger, and his annual Christmas letters with the phrase, "Funny you should ask!" But most of all he will be remembered for how deeply he loved the Lord and his family.

Chris is survived by sons, Chris (Betty), Gary (MaryBeth), John (Tammy) and Rick; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister (Marge Wavrica). He is preceded in death by his wife (Shirley); grandson (Joshua); and parents (Chris and Bertha).

All are welcome to attend a memorial service and celebration at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24, at Front Range Alliance Church, 5210 Centennial Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO.
