I am Claudia, Chris´ younger cousin. She was an inspiration to me. Even though she was in Colorado, she would stop by once in awhile to say "hi" in Indiana. It had been a very long time and Chris, Sue and Jenny came to our youngest´s graduation. It was such a blessing and a surprise. They supported me as Elisabeth, the last of eight children graduated. It was an emotional time, and my cousins were there for me. I will never forget it. Thank you, cousins! Thank you Chris! Love, Claudia Fussle

I am Claudia Fussle, Chris' younger cousin. Chris' funeral service was beautiful and it portrayed vividly the faith she had and the beautiful church of believers friends and family she had. There are so many things I would like to say, but the foremost thought I have Is what a beautiful human being Chris was. The eulogy that her friend, Marlene gave was amazing to me. Chris not only taught us to live, she taught us how to die. It made me wish I could have been more a part of her life, but distance and the responsibility of a big family kept me here in Indiana. I had not seen Chris, Sue or Jenny for 30 years and they all came unexpectedly for my youngest's and last graduation some years ago now. It was an emotional time for me, but even though I hadn't seen them in years, my cousins became sisters and loved me and held me as I cried at the graduation. What a gift. Now we will meet Cousin Chris again soon in heaven, and I will be able to meet all the precious people she called her friends and family. Although we have never met, I feel an invisible bond with you all. We all loved Chris and we will miss her greatly. God has called his daughter home. God bless you all. Love, Claudia

I have known Chris since we were 4 years old. We grew up in Braham, Minnesota, and attended the same elementary school. After our families made several moves, we ultimately reconnected in Colorado Springs. We both attended Wasson High School and both became Physical Education/Health teachers - Chris for Wasson H. S. and me for Boulder H. S. We stayed in touch for many years and we enjoyed hanging out with each other at our Wasson H. S. reunions. I have always been impressed by her energy and enthusiasm in traveling the country teaching other teachers and for her volunteerism. She has always wanted to help others, especially children. I am so blessed to have known her for 70 years. I will miss her.

Although I did not know her well, Chris always seemed to light up a room. To Sue, Jennifer, and other family and friends, I am very sorry for your loss but we are all blessed that she was a part of our lives.

Chris, there's not a week that goes by that I miss talking with you, exchanging plants across our street and hearing your travel adventures. I look across the street and can't believe you are no longer here. You kept this young girl (50+) motivated and encouraged to keep moving, learning and growing. The neighborhood will not be the same without your zeal, whit and determination. I miss and love you dearly.

Chris, it was more than a pleasure, it was an honor to have you as my mentor and my former boss while I worked for you at D-11. You taught me so many things and I cannot thank you enough for being fair and kind to me. We experienced loss together of a true friend and became friends ourselves. Thank you so much, you will be missed and already are.

What a full, productive, impactful life! May Chris’ memory ever be a blessing. “The souls of the righteous are in God’s hand, and no pain shall touch them.” (Wisdom of Solomon, 3:1). Prayers and thoughts of comfort to her family.

Ms Beyers was my first gym teacher at Wasson High School. She set a high standard and was an excellent teacher. I was sorry to read about her passing. Ms B eyers left a wonderful legacy.
