Christopher Anderson Obituary

Christopher Keaton Anderson passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023; our hearts are so broken.
Christopher was born the first son of 4 boys to Joe and Laurie Anderson on August 29, 1988. He graduated from Doherty High School in 2007 and went on to study at UCCS, UNC, and Ames colleges. He played tennis in high school and loved it. He also played pickleball later in life with his dad and brothers. He loved playing basketball on Sundays with his brothers, uncles, and friends. He was involved with Youth Singers and the youth group at First United Methodist Church in high school. He loved the Broncos and Nuggets and knew a lot about what was going on in professional sports as well.
Christopher was a kind and compassionate young soul. He was smart, articulate, and witty. He always gave a helping hand when someone needed one, and a big smile. He loved to coach basketball at the YMCA and the kids loved him. He last worked as a handyman (C.G.M.). When not doing handy work, he worked in the restaurant at Texas T-Bone/Famous Dave's.
His life wasn't always easy, but he tried to rise above. He is now at peace, in the arms of Jesus, joking with Grandpa Suntken and Grandpa and Grandma Anderson.
He leaves behind his mom and dad, Laurie and Joe Anderson; 3 brothers: Nicholas, Zachary (wife Rachel), and Cameron; 2 nephews, Noah and Luke Anderson; Grandma Jan, Uncle Joey and Anne Suntken of Hudson, Ohio; Uncle Franco and Roxanne (Auntie) Seegrove of Austin, Texas; Uncle Gary and Carrie Reinhard of Denver; Uncle Eddie and Michelle Anderson of Denver; Uncle Tony Cisneros of California; Crystal Hubbard of Colorado Springs; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles - too many to list.
Christopher will be so deeply missed. Today is the only day you have been given, cherish your loved ones, hug and tell them you love them, tomorrow may not come.
In lieu of flowers, Christopher, I know, would love for you to give to the YMCA, Nami or Tesla.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A reception will follow at Texas T-Bone, 5245 N. Academy Blvd.

I spent many years through middle school with Chris. He was always so happy and had a smile on his face. Even though we drifted apart over the years he was a good friend to have through those times. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones, hope you can find peace during this difficult time.

Our family met the Anderson family at preschool. Our daughter, Alex and Christopher were preschool buddies. Laurie and I became friends and have stayed in touch all these years. We would see each other in a variety of places. From our entire family we extend our deepest sympathies.

I am truly so sorry for your loss. I did not know Christopher as well as I knew your other sons but I'm sure with the parents that he had that he was an amazing human being! I'm sending lots of love and prayers for you and your family and hoping that God will ease your pain.
