Christopher Barta Obituary

Christopher Thomas Barta passed away early on October 9th, 2011. He was born September 28th, 2011 at 11:09 p.m. Baby Christopher was born at 23 weeks into his mother's pregnancy and fought valiantly for 11 days, but could not physically overcome insurmountable odds. His very short life was blessed by overwhelming love and support from family and friends. Christopher Thomas was a hero, reminding all those he touched of the longevity of life, and its exceptional graciousness. He is survived by his parents, Tom and Jeanne Barta, and his six siblings, Mackenzie (16), Kaylyn (15), Colton (12), Kylie (11), Kacey (8), and Cade (4). A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 12th, 2011 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 9 El Pomar Road, in Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Christopher's memory may be made to The Christopher Thomas Barta Memorial Fund, c/o Pauline Memorial Catholic School, 1601 Mesa Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80906; or to New Born Hope, P.O. Box 2515, Colorado Springs, CO 80901.
