Kevin and Linda,
I can not begin to imagine the loss that you are going through. My heart goes out to you in this time of grief and know that if there is anything that I can do for you don't hesitate to call me.
I remember christopher being bright and so full of spirit. It was always neat to see him play with my son and he seemed to take on the "big brother" role since he was older.
He will truley be missed in this world. My thoughts, prayers and tears are with you.

I used to work with Deb at Ritsema and Lyon for about 6 months. I always enjoyed her office because she had so many pictures up of her family. I would ask her about them and she would point out who was who. She spoke about Christopher often and you could tell that he was loved by his aunt Deb. Moreover, while working at Ritsema I was also going to school part time. I thought long and hard about quitting Ritsema to get my degree quicker. When I decided I better quit, I had to talk to the boss Deb. I was kinda scared about what she would say. However, I was suprised with what happened. I told her, and she had a suprised and saddened look on her face. She looked at me across the table and said that, "You will be missed, I will miss you but for only selfshiss reasons". At the funeral today, that is exactly how I felt about saying goodbye to Deb. In addition, I saw Deb a couple weekends ago at a purse party. I helped her pick out a wallet and she helped me pick out a key ring. As the party winded down and Deb turned to go I went carried out some dishes for her to her car. When she opened her car door I saw a ladybug c.d. case. I told her that I liked it and she informed me that her nephew had gotten it for her.
Last, I know this time is very hard, and I would be lying to even say I can understand what you all are going through. But I do know one thing, that the love your family gave to their friends and family is one that I will never forget. I'm thankful that Deb was my boss, and friend. I will miss her, but I do know that I will see her again when it is my time. May God bless all the family and know that God is and the angels are comforting you through this time of loss. And that you to will see your loved ones again.

Chris was a good friend of mine. We were in SOAR and advance math and Drama. He was the best young actor i knew of. If someone was rude to him, he would still smile at them. No matter what he had a smile on his face. He will FOREVER be missed. I'm sorry you lost such a great son. You raised him right.

Chris was a kind boy, once when I was sad during drama he sat next to me and asked me what was wrong. When I told him he said, "Don't let them get to you." His words made me feel better. I will miss his smile and unique sense of humor. The Calegar family is in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

I never got to hold you as a baby Christopher, I hugged you a few times when you got older but I wish I could have been around more to watch you grow. I will forever see your handsome face in my sons eyes. I will see you in every child and I will be there for your mom and dad when they need me. I will still see the smile and sparkle in your mothers eyes when she tells Christopher stories, and I will forever be your mom and dads friend. And yes I will shead many tears because I know your mom and dad are going to miss their beautiful son. No one will ever give them what you brought to their lives. We will miss you lovely boy, rock n roll boy, guitar playing boy , smart boy. We will miss you Kevin and Lindas beautiful boy Christopher. Love you

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Kevin and Linda,
We were so heartbroken to hear about the accident and the terrible loss of Chris, your sister, and your parents. It was obvious that your worlds revolved around each other- watching you together when we visited and in photos over the years. The love that the two of you shared 20 years ago has only expanded and what a blessing to have Chris share in that love.
We wish we could be there with you personally to offer our support.
Know that we and our families are sending thoughts and prayers for peace and assistance through the future challenges.
We miss you and hope to see you soon.

All of the Calegars, especially our dear friends Kevin and Linda,

We are thankful to have known Christopher and experienced your true love for him, and his for you. We are thankful that Kevin and the other Calegars had such wonderful parents that many people appreciated and adored. So many wonderful words I've heard about Deb and her commitment to friends and family.

We watched Christopher grow up over the years and he will always remain a fine young man in our minds and hearts. With his endless grin and varying hair styles :), he knew how to light up a room. He loved music and had an ear for great tunes. We still can't believe he was only 10, he always seemed older and wiser than his age.

We love you...

Christopher was an awesome little boy. He was so proud of his dad. He just loved the fact that his dad was a drummer in a rock band. He was always at our gigs and he always helped his dad set up his drum set. It will never be the same again without seeing his smiling face before a show............I so much wanted my son to meet him........It just never happened...

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. Words cannot describe the grief we feel for you in the loss of your wonderful child, your talented sister and your fantastic parents.

We lived across the street from your parents for 22 years and shared wonderful memories with them. When we talked to Jim and Lee they were always excited about having Christopher visit with them and treasured every minute they spent with him.

We are thinking of you and grieving for you during this tragic time.
