Christopher Forsythe Obituary

Chris Forsythe, age 42, a lifelong resident of the Colorado Springs area, passed away suddenly on October 14, 2015 at his home. He was a sound engineer for the Black Sheep, a musician, a father, son, brother, uncle and friend to the music community of Colorado.

Christopher Larry Forsythe was born on September 1, 1973 at the United States Air Force Academy Hospital to Larry K. and JoEva Lynn (Leonard) Forsythe. He was a 1991 graduate of Calhan High School and then attended Southwestern University in Winfield, Kansas. Shortly thereafter, he dedicated his life to the music industry.

He had worked for 32 Blue, Pure Energy, Navajo Hogan, The Colorado Music Hall, and for the last ten years, the Black Sheep.

He was a vocalist, guitarist, sound engineer and played most recently with Malakai and Tree of Woe. He was a contributing writer for Riff Rag Magazine, and was a Broncos Football and Yankees Baseball fan to the very end.

He will be best remembered for his fatherly devotion to his beloved daughter: "Allie Kat."

Chris is survived by his daughter; Alexandria, his mom; JoEva, his brothers; Rob, Jeff, and Casey; and his sisters; Kathy Glover and Lisa Homer. He leaves behind two nieces, four nephews and his canine companion, "Flynn."
