Over this 2024 holiday season, I was with one of my best friends from Philadelphia who now lives in Colorado. We got to reminiscing about our teachers in the 1970´s. More so than any of our other many teachers, Mr. Lowe "stood out" to both of us over the intervening 50+ years. He was a wonderful teacher - passionate, engaging, funny, and always making us be the best French students we could be. Very sorry for your family´s loss of such a wonderful man

Chris and I had some great interactions on the topic of Ben Franklin. I have written about Ben Franklin's personal philanthropy. Chris was a gifted actor who brought the soul of Ben Franklin to life for many. Having a beer and a burger with Chris will be as close as I get, this side of heaven, to hoisting a brew with Ben Franklin himself.

Mr. Lowell was one of my teachers at CHA in the mid 1070s. Not cool - just real. Set an example for being yourself and living life to the fullest. I think about him more than almost any teacher I had in HS.

Chris mastered the character of Ben Franklin. I had the pleasure of performing as John Jay at the reenactment of the signing of the Treaty of Paris and we stayed in character all evening as Franklin and Jay. It was fun on another level. I had the double pleasure of calling him and asking Dr. Franklin for advice. Chris' professionalism and mastering of the character of Franklin was remarkable. Without having worked together before, he and I worked together like a good second base and shortstop combination. In a sense I could "throw him the ball" about some topic pertaining to Franklin and Jay and he would catch it. His sense of humor made him fun to be around. The highest compliment I have received came from Chris/ Ben Franklin when he called me the perfect John Jay. I return the favor and call him the perfect Ben Franklin. We miss him. I hope a book comes out about his insights into Franklin. My prayers go out to his family.
