Clara Della Croce Obituary

April 16, 1932 - March 26, 2008. Clara B. Della Croce, 75, peacefully left this life on Wednesday, March 26th. Clara was born April 16th, 1932 in Colorado Springs to Thomas W. Howells and Clara Belle Shy Howells. Clara was married to Carmen Della Croce in 1948. She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Jeannie and her husband Don Cannella. She was preceded in death by her son, Carmen Dean. Also survived by her two grandchildren, Donald Dean Cannella and Michelle Jean Haley, Great grandchildren, Robert, Joseph, Arianna, Matthew, Nicholas and Brandon, and a brother Richard Howells of Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and six brothers. Clara was noted for her kind heart and love of her family and friends. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She was a past president of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and worked diligently for many, many years for the Association. She enjoyed crafts and was a wonderful cook. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 7:00 pm, Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Swan-Law Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will follow the visitation at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Services will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, March 31, 2008, Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2318 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, with a reception afterwards at Corpus Christi. Memorial contributions may be made to the following charities: Muscular Dystrophy Association, 5446 N.
