Clare Kendall Obituary

Clare Kendall, age 98, passed away July 28, 2007 in Colorado Springs. She was born February 24, 1909 in Wisner, Nebraska to Louis and Louise Greenwald. Clare was a longtime resident of Manitou Springs. She was a Civil Service employee at Fort Carson for many years. When she was younger, she enjoyed many outdoor activities including fishing and camping in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. In her later years she was a resident of Alterra Assisted Living where she enjoyed playing card games, dominoes and visiting with the many friends that she became acquainted with living there. Clare is survived by her daughter, Anita B. (and husband Terry) Gingerich; son, Gary L. (and wife Nancy) Kendall; five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Whitney Kendall, her parents; her brother, Leonard Greenwald; and her sister, Laura Greenwald. A cryptside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at the Shrine of Remembrance Garden of Angels Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made in Clare's memory to Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Suite 600 Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
