Claudia Thomas Obituary

Claudia L. Thomas, age 80, passed away at her home in Fountain, CO on August 26, 2006. Claudia was born July 29, 1926 in Des Moines, IA to Jack B. Giblin and LaRue Stansberry. She married William A. Thomas on October 25, 1947 in Phoenix City, AL. They moved to the Colorado Springs area 25 years ago. Claudia is survived by her husband William A. Thomas; daughters Teresa N. Makuh and Carol C. Thomas-Barclay; sons Larry Thomas and John M. Thomas; step-daughters Pat Matthews and Vickie Northern; brother Ronald M. Giblin; 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack B. and LaRue Stansberry Giblin; daughters Robin and Peggy; son Melvin; and sister Jacqueline Giblin Clay. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 101 N. Main Street, Fountain, CO. Claudia was a very patriotic person and loved our military men and women. She also loved animals. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
