Clayton Van Horn died June 21, 2021 at home after a long illness. He was born May 27, 1931 in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, the son of Walter Van Horn and Helen (Preston) Van Horn.
Clayton served in the US Army for 20 years, retiring out of Ft Carson, CO and settled in Security. He proudly served in the Korean and Viet Nam wars. He married June (Takeda) Van Horn. Clayton and June celebrated their 64th anniversary in September 2020.
Clayton loved to fish and enjoy the great outdoors. He loved attending the Southside Bible Chapel.
He is survived by his wife June, son Walter, daughter Christine, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Raymond.
Clayton will be buried at Pikes Peak National Cemetery June 28, 2021

The Buckley AFB military Retiree Activities Office (RAO) would like to offer our sincere condolences and our gratitude for Mr. Van Horn's service to our country in the Army. If you would like help with any matters related to casualty assistance, Defense Finance & Accounting Service, Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), Veterans Affairs (VA), etc. you can contact our office on Buckley AFB at 720-847-6693. The RAO is staffed by volunteers, all military retirees themselves, and our sole purpose is to provide assistance to any military retirees and surviving spouses/family members with anything related to their military service and/or benefits, in particular during difficult times such as this. We are deeply sorry for your loss.
