Clifford Walker Obituary

Clifford W. Walker, 90, of Colorado Springs, peacefully passed away, April 23, 2017.

Cliff was born in Mansfield, Ohio to Ray Walker and Lucille (Dierdorf) Walker. During his senior year at Madison High School, he was pulled away to serve in the United States Army during World War II. He was on his way to Europe in a B-24 when the war ended. He married Betty Guthrie in 1946.

After the war, he worked for Cole Tool & Die and Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield, Ohio. He moved to Colorado Springs in 1969 and worked for Hewlett Packard as the Tool & Die Shop Foreman, until he retired in 1987 and moved to Phoenix, Arizona. He moved back to Colorado Springs in 2009 after the passing of his wife, Betty.

Cliff's passion was shooting skeet & trap. He also liked golfing, camping, bowling, square dancing and working with his hands. Cliff was kind-hearted man who never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was very forgiving and had a great sense of humor. He was a pleasure to be around and was a great husband and father.

He is survived by his son, Michael A. Walker; 2 grandchildren, Brent Walker, Jody Klockziem; 4 great grandchildren: Latasha Tatum, Aspen and Hunter Klockziem and Laci Walker; 4 great-great grandchildren, Kaydence, Kameron, Kaylani and Kodiak Tatum; 2 brothers, Don and Jerry Walker. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Walker, in 2015, and his daughter in-law, Judy Walker, in 2014.

Cliff's family would like to give a special thanks to Freedom Home for the care he received his last few years. It was so comforting to know he was being taken care of by a staff that treated him like he was one of their own family members.

He will be cremated and a private service will be held.
