Jerry, Clint, and I were are so sorry to hear of Colby's passing. We will be thinking of you guys in the days to come. We love you.

In youth we believe we are invincible. Death, if we think of it at all, is far away. At 21 it was too young and it was tragic.

We have tears for his passing, but, as long as there is one of us who knew,and loved, and remembers Colby, He lives within each of us until our dying breath. So he is not gone.

An uncopyrighted 1932 poem by Mary Elizabeth Frye expresses what Colby might say to us today:

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle Autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.

I am shocked and saddened by the news of your passing. We had such a wonderful time that Easter you spent with us, and many other times as well. You will be so missed. Gone too soon Colby.
