Dear Beautiful Colleen, lovely Shannalia, and wonderful family,

When I first met you, Colleen, in the summer of 2016, you welcomed me warmly and made me feel like part of your loving family. I will never forget that.

I am still shocked and saddened every day, but I know your spirit is still alive, and that brings me some solace. I hope Shannalia and the rest of your immediate family knows that your spirit is still with us to allay any sadness they may still feel, and I believe that we will all be reunited one day. Until then, we think of you every day and often and joyfully keep you in our lives still.

I am not surprised now to see you went to the University of Miami; my dad was a fellow there, two of my sisters went there, one of them both for her undergrad 5-year program and grad and she taught there as well, and that is secretly where I wanted to go too. I knew I felt even more shared energy when I met you, and I am liking reading even more about you -thank you all - and hope to hear even more about you always.

Love you and see you later!!!

I am very saddened to hear about your mother´s passing. I know she loved you both and your families very much.
I was lucky to get to work for your mother for many years. She was a knowledgeable, compassionate and thoughtful manager. It was a joy to work with her.

When Colleen and I met, we were teenagers, freshmen, at the University of Miami in Florida. We became roommates and inseparable close friends, studying and partying together, creating silly, happy memories and a bond that lasted and grew deeper over the years. Through the decades, we traveled to visit each other in Hawaii, Colorado, and California, attended each other´s weddings, celebrated the births of our children, rejoiced in each other´s accomplishments and comforted each other during difficult times. She was the best friend, always in my corner, making me laugh during every conversation. Her warmth, intelligence, compassion, beauty, humor, love and light were a gift to me and to all who knew her. Shannalia and Tiffany, she was so proud of you, adored her grandchildren, family and friends. I am so sorry for this unbearable loss. May our joyful memories of her ease our heavy hearts. Rest in peace, my dear friend, knowing we will always love and remember you, and the love you gave us will last forever.

We have so many fond memories of Colleen. She was truly a compassionate, beautiful human being. She radiated so much kindness and positivity. She often cared for my son, Riley and was patient and kind and I felt so safe leaving Riley with her. My heart goes out to those loved ones who will miss her dearly
