Colleen Langendoerfer, age 87, was gently welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on January 19, 2026. She was born on July 29, 1938, and raised in southern Illinois, where her faith, kindness, and strong values were formed and carried with her throughout her life.

Colleen was first married to Jack Butler, and together they were blessed with a son, Garry Butler, who remained the pride and joy of her life. Jack passed away in 1980, a loss Colleen endured with quiet faith and strength. God later blessed her again with love when she met and married Roger Langendoerfer in 1984. Their marriage was a true partnership, filled with devotion, laughter, and deep affection.

Colleen devoted many years to a successful career in banking, working in Rochelle, Illinois, and later in Colorado Springs. She was employed at Colorado Springs National Bank, Wells Fargo, and Chase National Bank, where she was known not only for her professionalism but for her gentle spirit and caring heart.
She found joy in life's simple blessings—reading a good book, playing dominoes with dear friends, and collecting angels, a reflection of her faith and her belief in God's loving presence. Colleen lived her life with grace, compassion, and a quiet trust in the Lord. Today, she rejoices in heaven, reunited with loved ones who went before her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jack Butler; her stepson Rocky Langendoerfer; and her siblings Ferry Hopkins, Katie Hanney, Marcy Copeland, Nita Cauble and Larry Dillman.

Colleen is survived by her devoted husband, Roger Langendoerfer; her beloved son, Garry Butler; her grandchildren, Christopher Butler and Laura O'Connell; her great-granddaughter, Paige Davis; her sister, Rebecca Williams; and many loving nieces, nephews, dear friends, and all whose lives she touched.

A funeral service celebrating Colleen's life and faith will be held on January 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave, CSCO, 80903.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to National Mill Dog Rescue or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
