Connie Howerton Obituary

Howerton
Connie Howerton
December 26, 1937 - March 8, 2018
On March 8, 2018, we lost a lovely lady, mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend. Connie Kipper Howerton was born in La Junta, Colorado on December 26, 1937, and had lived in Colorado Springs since 1963. Connie enjoyed golf, tennis, bridge, dominoes, an occasional trip to the slot machines at Cripple Creek, spending time with friends, and a good margarita.
Connie is survived by her brother Dick Kipper, three children; Steve (Laura), Karen Kennedy (James), and Kent (LaQuitta), and six granddaughters: Sarah Anderson, Nicole Baca, Lindsey Howerton, Quinn Kennedy, Maddy Garcia, and Emma Howerton. We like to think that she is now with her husband, Tom Howerton, and her grandson, Cole Kennedy.
Per Connie's wishes, there will be no services. However, a reception will be held in her memory at the Colorado Springs Country Club on Wednesday, April 4th at 11:30 a.m. Please wear the bright colors that she loved. Connie and Tom were a great couple in life, and their ashes will be interred together in the bell tower at the First United Methodist Church in a short, family committal service later that afternoon.
The family wishes to thank Mackenzie Place, Bridges Home Health/Hospice, and Amada Senior Care for their attention and thoughtfulness. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Parkinson's Foundation.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
