Connie Kennedy Obituary

Connie Peterson Kennedy passed away suddenly on April 23, 2017.

Connie was born in Roseau, Minnesota, where she lived for ten years. In 1942, she moved to Colorado Springs, where she resided the rest of her life. She graduated from Colorado Springs High School. After graduation, she worked in the health care industry her entire adult life. Her passion was the work she did for Hospice.

Connie was an active member of First Presbyterian Church since 1953. Her love of the Lord was apparent in all that she said and did. She served on the Church Staff, served as a Deacon, and was a member of many Bible Studies and Sunday School Classes.

Connie's gentle spirit was evident in all she did. Her willingness to share the Lord's word, her passion for animals, and her care of her friends endeared her to all who knew her.

She will be missed by many, especially her loving husband, Jamieson; her stepdaughter, Mary Kay; and her beloved dog, Flicka.

A Celebration of Connie's life will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, May 5, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, 219 East Bijou Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Connie's memory to the Best Friends Animal Society at Bestfriends.org or to First Presbyterian Church.

I so enjoyed the fellowship and humor of this great lady! This past year I got to know her on a deeper level as we met with a small group of "artist buddies". It was such a joy to meet with her and the other ladies; she will be greatly missed! Our hearts and prayers go out to her family at this time of great loss!
