C.J. WINTERS

There is a painting hanging on my wall
Where I can see it everyday
It´s a picture my Wife painted
Some time before she passed away.

I so cherish this lovely painting
Of a lake in the mountains where we used to go
We had so much fun and laughter,
A better time I will never know.

I still live in that big old house that we rebuilt
Where all her paintings still hang on the wall
We try hard to keep her memory alive
You can see it as you walk down the hall.

I very much admire the talents she had
With that brush and paint she could bring a flower alive
The way her brush lit up the canvas
You would think that spring had just arrived.

She could paint a ragging blizzard
That would make you feel cold
Then warm you up again
With a beautiful painting of Del Sol.

With all her beauty and talent
I have wondered why she ever married me
I´m so grateful she did
I will never question the powers that be

Though she has been gone for years,
I can still feel her by my side
I can hardly think of her without tears
She gives me so much pride.

C.J. was the marrow of my world
though I did not know it until she was gone
She was a one of a kind girl
Without her I feel so alone.
