Today, I remember and celebrate the life of Deacon Clark. His love for God, family and country was shown in all he did. He was a great example of how we should love and live each day. He was truly a man of God and will always be remembered!

Although, I never met you directly in the past, I look forward to meeting you when we’ll all get together to praise Him.
We love your memory and pray to share with your wife, children and grandchildren such as we have.
We are so thankful for all that you and Audrey have done for the family in helping to preserve our legacy from Mose Porter. I also look forward to meeting all others that we share through kinship and friendship.

Deacon Cornelius Clark was an inspiration. His exquisite Tenor voice added such flavor and brilliance to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Male Chorus. He was very kind and compassionate. He prayed for a dear friend of ours as she was about to give up on her premature 1 pound son. That prayer inspired her to continue in hope. That son is now a healthy 27-year-old young manPraise God! He was very dear to usHe was the one who inspired us to become servant leaders of the New Disciples Ministry. May God continue to bless Mrs. Audrey; and all who loved Deacon Clark.

My Darling, eleven years has passed since I last held you in my arms. The love we shared remains a part of me, you left this world but never my heart. Always loved, never forgotten. You will always be remembered, you will always be loved. So much has changed, but so much will always be.......Your loving wife Audrey

I remember my friend from 1965 when we met at Plei Me,Vietnam.
I remember when we were under siege and surrounded for 8 days and nights. No sleep, very little food, no bath or shower. Corneious was supposed to go home, his time was up, but he couldnt.
When he finally did get out, tired, hungry, dirty the first thing he did was come to see me at the 8th Field Hospital Nha Trang. He didnt think of himself, he never did. We didnt meet again for over thirty years and when we did I had forgotten this. I am still ashamed.
We all miss you Cornelious.

Cornelious was not only a friend, but also a steadfast comrade in arms. He is in my thoughts often, almost daily. He was, and is, an inspiration. He was warm, friendly, steadfast, and courageous. And although the word "good" is used often in a trivial way--not so with Cornelious. He was a good man. Amen to his life and memory. Lanny Hunter

Audrey, the Huffman/Porter family is so sadden, yet we must rejoice in this moving to higher ground, of a true man of destiny. Through the careful search of our family history, Cornelious managed to weave together lives of people that otherwise would never know the value of heritage. May the Lord of Increase add peace and comfort on your journey.

To the family of Deacon Clark;
God looked around His garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful he always takes the best.
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to clim, So He closed your wary eyelids and whispered "Peace be thine".
It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.
Deacon will be truly missed by many. Until we meet again rest in peace.
Your friend

Deacon Clark will be truly missed. He was one of our favorite people at Emmanuel to see. He always had a big smile and hug for me and my family. He would always ask us about our grades and how school was going. Our favorite memories were when he would sing in the mens choir or when he subbed as the van driver.
I know the pain of loosing him must be great, but know that he was a man that touched so many and was a true example of a man of God. Thanks for sharing him with our family. God Bless.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To the Clark family: It saddens me to learn of Bro. Clark's passing, but brings me joy to remember him and his wonderful smile. An obedient servant of God has been called home to rest, and leaves an honorable legacy to all of us. May God keep you close and bring you comfort through these times.
