Today is my 16th wedding anniversary and on that day I have so many fond memories of my Uncle Craig. He and Uncle Mark brought my grandparents down to the wedding and unfortunately for all of us the time we discovered how much they were failing. He and Mark kept track of them (no small endeavor) and allowed them to be a part of that day. My grandmother enjoyed every minute of it. I had friends later tell me how much they enjoyed my funny bald uncles who hooted when asked if they were twins. He also took a shine to friends daughter and took many amazing photos of her. He later printed them and sent them (the old days). They were very touched by this gesture. Uncle Craig was especially good to my husband Ted and they even met up when he was in CA . He was a delightful man and uncle and will be missed.

Craig and I were double cousins. His mother was my Dad's sister, and his father was my mom's brother. Many Sundays were spent together either at our farm near Cambridge or their home in Ft. Dodge. What I remember most about our families being together was tha laughter and genuine love and caring. As the youngest of the five of us cousins, I was always welcomed and included in everything. Four years ago, we were able to all get together again for a few days, and that time together was priceless. I shall always remember Craig for his kindness, his high intellect, and his incredible sense of humor. He will he deeply missed.

I had the distinct good fortune to be a close friend with Craig during the 10th, 11th and 12th grade at Fort Dodge Senior High. Craig was often a guest at our home where, along with my mother, we would watch TV and ponder the future. He was part of a small group of friends that made a world of difference during those pivotal and challenging years. The last time I got to spend time with Craig was after my return from Vietnam in 1969. Craig was in the 82d Airborne Division and contemplating volunteering for combat. To some small extent I hope our conversation helped dissuade him. I never saw Craig again and although over the years I did try to reconnect, it was not meant to be. I loved and respected my friend and took his memory with me wherever I went. To his brother Mark, I send my deepest condolences and to Craig I send my love and prayers. Say "Hi" to my mom Craig and I will miss you. Don't "shag the drag" without me buddy.

I was blessed with Craig's friendship for many years. We graduated from FDSH together and remained life long friends. Craig was a gentle man and my heart will always dearly miss him. He cherished every moment with his family and friends. Fly high my special friend. Fly high!!
