Creston Shields Obituary

Creston "Storm" Shields, 52, passed away after a short illness on October 26, 2016. He was born on November 27, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas. Storm graduated from Air Academy High School in 1981 and studied at the Colorado School of Mines.

Storm is survived by his wife of 25 years Staci (Cornelison) Shields, his father Retired Air Force LT Colonel Dr. Cres Shields, his step-mother Dr. Mary Elise Collins Shields, his mother Lana Schneider, his daughter-Pug Micah, his mother-in-law Trish Cornelison, his sister Nicole Smith, his step-sister Alissa Peterson and step-brother Colonel Trent Hunton.

Storm served the community for almost 22 years as a Police Officer with CSPD from 1985-2006. He served his city with integrity, honor and pride and never hesitated to put himself in danger to save someone's life.

Throughout his life, Storm enjoyed helping others during difficult times and always looked for ways to make a difference in the world. He loved watching Nascar with his wife, going on early morning nature photo shoots, playing with Micah and spent every day loving his wife and Jesus.

Storm was an amazing and courageous man who touched so many lives and was deeply loved. He will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten.

Storm's Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 2:00pm at Village Seven Presbyterian Church located at 4040 Nonchalant Cir S. Colorado Springs, CO 80917.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a cause he and his wife were passionate about which involved rescue and emergency care for Pugs. Donations can be sent by PayPal to Pug.Chat.Au[email protected].
