To His parents. I didn't know this handsome and smart young man but I too have a son Kurtis who was in the USAF - I have to respond because as a mother, my heart hurts over your loss. I am blessed - my son lived through dessert storm and instable tensions while stationed in the Middle East in the early 90's. I am forever grateful for your son's service and I just wanted you to know - there is nothing like the us Air Force!!!! Your beautiful son is gone on this earth but he will never ever be forgotten. Hail to the wild blue yonder!

Dear Gilbert & Janet,
It was with great sorrow that we read about Curtis. We know that no words can ease your pain and grief at this time. We lost our 9 year old son, Phillip, 36 years ago and we still remember the anguish we experienced.
We heard many people say many things. Some were comforting and understanding while others were insensitive, although we are sure, unintentional. People who have not experienced what you are encountering have no idea of what to say or what to do. All we can say is that we are truly sorry for your loss and we feel your pain. God bless you. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

My heartfelt condolences to Curtis' loving family. May Gods loving kindness bring comfort and strength to you at this very difficult time and help you heal your broken hearts. Take comfort in the words in the book of John 6:40; Thru His word HE gives us the hope of seeing our loved one again.
