Dr. Cynthia Rose

Dr. Cynthia Rose of Colorado Springs, CO passed away in the company of immediate family on the morning of the summer solstice, June 21 2023.
Dr. Rose is an alumna of Tufts University and Boston University Medical school, medical internship at the San Francisco Medical Center, then fellowship and adult and child psychiatric residencies at the University or Colorado in Denver. Upon moving to Colorado Springs in 1969 she served as the Medical Director of the Pikes Peak Mental Health Center until devoting her time exclusively to private practice and ultimately psychoanalysis. Her education continued throughout her lifetime with additional board certifications, and finally psychoanalytic training. She remained active professionally until the time of her death.
Positions of distinction include her leadership as the first woman president of the Colorado Psychiatric Society, western region president of the American Psychiatric Society, and President of the Denver Psychoanalytic Society.
Her passions included travel both as pilot and passenger, with personal and professional travel providing "a wonderful opportunity" to broaden her perspective and make many close friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday July 30 2023 in Colorado Springs. RSVP to 303-395-3395.

So sorry to hear this. I worked with Dr. Rose many years ago. I remember house sitting for her. She was an awesome, caring soul. She will be missed.
