D. Campbell Obituary

D. Ireana Campbell, 85, passed away on June 19, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Ireana was born in Colorado Springs on July 28, 1929, the first of 4 children born to John and Eldora Whyte. She attended school in Simla, CO. She married John S. "Jack" Campbell Jr. on December 16, 1948 in Raton, NM. She worked as a PBX operator and in the billing/collections office at Memorial Hospital for 17 years before retiring in 1987. She did volunteer work for the USO during WWII, and later for the VFW, the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo, Silver Key Senior Services and other organizations. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. Ireana was loving and giving to her family and friends. She especially enjoyed and was proud of her 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Her husband of 31 years, and her siblings Jack, Mignon and Shirley preceded her in death.

Ireana is survived by son John S. Campbell III (Mary) of Elbert, CO, daughter A. Diane McCrory (Steve) of Montgomery, AL, son Gary K. Campbell (Margaret) of Colorado Springs, CO, 3 grandchildren, Shawn Magnuson (Tomomi), Jeffery Campbell (Rebecca), Matthew Campbell (Esperanza) and, 5 great-grandchildren, Kharece, Avery, Elcey, Logan and Harper, 3 nieces, a nephew and many wonderful family and friends.

A private graveside service will be conducted.
