Dale went into the presence of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, surrounded by family on December 23, 2021 after a long battle with Parkinson's. Dale a man of integrity, tender hearted, humorous, forgiving, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a wonderful friend, who was remembered for his smile. Born February 15, 1944 to Gottlieb and Hilda Kraiss. Graduating from high school in Chicago he went to train at General Motors facilities learning auto business before enlisting in Army Reserves. Dale's army unit was sent to Fort Carson, Colorado Springs where he met his wife of 52 years, Beth Mathias. They married March 29, 1969 and he was deployed to Vietnam 5 weeks later. Dale is survived by his wife, daughters Heather and Allison, grandchildren Hannah, Nathan, Devan, and Zachariah, siblings Gerald (Carol), Bruce, Ronald (Jo Anne), William (Pamela), Daniel (Jill), Lori (Raymond Huish), brother-in-laws Robb, Paul, and Mike Mathias. Dale was employed for 34 years as Field Representative for Colorado Springs Utilities and for 27 years owned Kraiss's Auto Repair on the West Side. His passion was for auto body repair and mechanics.

Dale and Beth ministered over 50 years in Colorado Springs Area to the disadvantaged, focusing on those with developmental disabilities and founding "Best Friends Ministry". The ministry started at First Assembly of God, then New Life Church, continuing as "Springs Friends" at Springs Church.



Memorial Service will be held at Springs Church, 1515 Auto Mall Loop, 80920 on January 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. Interment held at Pikes Peak National Cemetery on January 10, 2022 12:00 pm.
